Evony’s new rally general, Rumyantsev, is released with the 2025 Christmas events. He provides strong rally capacity buffs and excels at leading ranged troops. To learn how to obtain and use this general, please refer to this guide.

Battles & Legacy

Rumyantsev was born into a Russian imperial military noble family. He entered service at sixteen, became a colonel by eighteen, and rose through steady command and sharp judgment. His fame began at the Battle of Gross-Jägersdorf during the Seven Years’ War.
In that battle, Russian forces advancing into East Prussia were ambushed because of poor leadership. As the right wing collapsed, Rumyantsev, then a brigade commander, launched a decisive counterattack that threw the Prussian left into chaos and forced a retreat, winning him immediate renown.
His greatest victory came at the Battle of Kagul in the Russo-Turkish War. Facing Ottoman forces nearly ten times larger, he struck first to prevent their union with Tatar allies. Advancing with infantry squares supported by artillery and light troops, he shattered repeated assaults and captured the enemy camp, routing the army.
After Kagul, Catherine II erected a monument at Tsarskoye Selo and granted him the title “Zadunaisky”, Victor Beyond the Danube. His enduring legacy was the training of Russian officers, including Suvorov and Kutuzov.

How to Unlock General Rumyantsev?

You can obtain the general at the Revery Carnival event during Evony’s 2025 Christmas event.
The details are here:
  1. First, level up the Carnival Celebration level.
The ability to redeem this general’s exclusive token is unlocked only when the celebration level reaches Lv20.
Consuming Parade Masks and Party Invitations can both upgrade the celebration level.
You can get masks by gathering resources (gaining capacity: 200) and killing monsters (gaining capacity: 300).
The invitations can be acquired by upgrading the celebration to certain levels (Lv5, 10, 15, 20) and purchasing the “Limited Time Revelry Package”.
  1. Then, earn enough Emerald Brooches and redeem the general token.
You need to consume Party Invitations to obtain an equal number of Emerald Brooches.
720 Emerald Brooches can be exchanged for 1 Rumyantsev’s general token, with a maximum exchange limit of 16 times (the number required for awakening).
This means you need to collect 11,520 Emerald Brooches during the Christmas events to upgrade Rumyantsev to his awakened state (5 red stars).
However, in reality, you can decide the ascend stage based on your needs, and you may not need to exchange for that many tokens.

The comparison leads to the following conclusions:

  • Minnow players who only aim to increase rally capacity in Alliance Wars can choose Wallenstein. He performs well by simply maxing out his specialties, without the need for ascension. Alternatively, upgrading him to 3 red stars is enough to unlock the march size bonus.

  • Whale players will benefit most from Rumyantsev, as his full potential can be fully developed. He provides the strongest rally and march size buffs and also offers higher ranged troop and siege machine bonuses than the other two generals.

  • Dolphin players who have not yet invested heavily in Artemisia I are still advised to acquire and train Rumyantsev directly. Even without awakening, his buffs outperform Artemisia’s. However, if Artemisia I is already awakened and you do not plan to invest further in new generals, continuing to use her remains a reasonable choice.
